Q: What if being in front of a camera is kind of my worst nightmare?
A: Giiiirl (and boy), I get it. None of us come into this world knowing how NOT to feel a little bit awkward with a lens trained on us. Lucky for you, though, I specialize in this stuff. Because I have a story-forward approach, I spend a lot of time behind-the-scenes curating an environment where you can be completely and totally yourselves. Whether it’s learning the ins and outs of your backstory or using creative prompts, I’m going to get cute, genuine moments that could only have happened because you were being yourselves. All you have to do is stare a little longer, flirt a little harder, and let love do its thing!
Q: How does payment work?
A: After you decide we absolutely have to be legally binding, you’ll sign your contract and pay your retainer. For couples and engagement sessions, $100 confirms your booking, with the remaining balance due one week before your session. For weddings, a 25% retainer is required to secure your date. The remaining balance is due two weeks before your wedding day, and payment plans can be set up upon request. All payments can be made via online bank transfer or with a credit/debit card.
Q: How do you keep our images safe?
A: Don’t you worry your pretty little minds; protecting and backing up images is always at the forefront of my mind. Every single session and wedding is captured on professional camera bodies with dual memory cards, so that each and every image is immediately backed up in two different locations. I also always show up with a backup camera body and lens on hand, just in case. As soon as I get home (after I greet my cat, Donnie, of course), I upload your images to two separate hard drives, then fast-track to my fireproof safe to store your memory cards while I edit.
Q: Do you travel for weddings?
A: Absolutely! While I’m based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, I am always down for an adventure for the sake of a good love story. For local destinations more than 40 miles from Saint Paul, there will be an additional travel fee ($0.80/mile) applied to your invoice. Weddings that take place 4+ hours from the Twin Cities or out of state will account for transportation and lodging arrangements, as well.
Q: When is the best time to book a session or wedding?
A: For couples and engagement sessions, I open up my calendar up to nine months in advance. Weddings, on the other hand, are typically booked anywhere from 6-18 months ahead of time. Good rule of thumb? Once you have the date picked and your venue secured, you should reach out!
Q: When can I expect to receive my final images?
A: Couples and engagement galleries hit inboxes about three weeks after your session. For weddings, couples can expect previews delivered within one week of their wedding date (there’s no WAY I’d expect you to wait to get a little spoiler!), with final galleries being delivered 6-8 weeks after your wedding.
Q: How can we expect our experience to unfold?

q: how do we get our photos printed?
A: The online gallery I use to deliver your images includes a print shop that will ensure your high-resolution, high-serendipity photos are printed with the equally high(est) quality... guaranteed. Whatever you do, steer clear of third-party printers, as they may compromise the quality of your images!

When I’m not documenting bone-deep romantics around the Twin Cities, I’m chasing sunlight like my life depends on it and rearranging my Saint Paul apartment for the seventeenth time because the vibe shifted ever so slightly. My brain thinks in mid-century modern, and I will absolutely stop mid-conversation to admire a well-shaped chair. Funky silhouettes and bold color moments? Say less.
To put it simply, I am obsessed with things that feel stylish and lived-in at the same time. (You see the overlap with my work, right?)
